This fascination grew so much that, after graduating from high school, I decided to pursue a double major in English and Russian languages and literature at the University of Zagreb where I am still studying and from which I am expected to graduate in 2023.
My very first encounter with translation was when I took part in “Juvenes Translatores”, a competition for young translators organised by The European Commission. I competed in 2014 and my language pair of choice was EN-HR. In spite of not winning for Croatia, I received a special recognition award for delivering an excellent translation.
During my higher education, I actively seek translation work as well as any editing and proofreading opportunities. In the past I worked as a copyeditor and proofreader of scholarly papers written by university students. In the past year I translated blog articles and voice overs, and I am currently working on translating a series of historical fiction short stories (language pair: HR-EN).
I am highly-organised and I am passionate about all things writing, translating, editing, proofreading, and reading. My goal is to use my skills to take your written text to a whole new level.
