Hello and welcome!
My name is Anamarija. I was born and raised in Croatia where I am currently a senior college student of English and Russian languages and literature.
Croatian is the official language of the Republic of Croatia and one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The language belongs in the South Slavic branch of the Slavic language family and it is spoken by more than 7 million people worldwide.
My very first encounter with translation was when I took part in "Juvenes Translatores", a translation competition for 17-year-old high school students organised by The European Commission. I competed in 2014 and my language pair of choice was EN-HR. In spite of not winning for Croatia, I received a special recognition award for delivering an excellent translation.
During my higher education, I actively seek translation work. In the past year I translated blog articles and voice overs, and I am currently working on translating a series of historical fiction short stories from Croatian into English.
With this Translation service, my aim is to use my knowledge and experience in order to provide you with an accurate and proofread copy of the translated text, which will then help you fulfil your professional and/or personal goals.
I provide translation in these language pairs:

Yes, I am. I was born and raised in Croatia and Croatian is my first language.
I know how to use SmartCat and MemSource. However, I do not rely on machine translation because it is often faulty and it does not pick up on specific language nuances. I sometimes use the software solely for better visualization when I work, especially when it comes to larger texts.
No, I do not translate legal, medical, pharmaceutical texts as well as any government-related documentation.
English is my first foreign language and I have been learning it for over 18 years now. In college, I have been taught by some of the finest lecturers in my country, which has given me both knowledge and the confidence that I will deliver a high-quality translation.
