MY PROCESS

I’ll start with a banger idea - about 100 to choose from

then I’ll move on to Title and thumbnail which will dictate the flow and angle of the script

Then I’ll use the the 4 Hat framework I learnt from George Blackman while writing my scripts where I put on different hats at different point of the scripting process

HAT 1 - Brainstorm

This is where I determine the key stories, main info, B-roll ideas, payoff that goes into the video etc

HAT 2 - Structure

This is where I create the outline of the script identifying the steps towards the big payoff

HAT 3 - Writing

Only after all the steps above, do we get into writing which is essentially connecting the dots and adding meat to the scripts. We basically just take all the info from research, brainstorming etc and brain dump everything into a Google doc and by the end of this session, we have our first draft

HAT 4 - Editing

This where we fine tune the script, we focus on things like grammar, retention, progression to make it the best
